Weekend/Vacation/Excitement

Tomorrow we leave for New York. Greg has a half marathon in Flushing Meadows, New York. What we just found out today is that he has to pick up his race packet (and goodies) tomorrow between 12 and 6 and it is pretty much in New York City. I can't believe it! I have never been to NYC and I've always wanted to go. Granted I'm not going to really be visiting...more like driving through. But STILL! I am super excited about this trip. Not to mention the course route includes lots of laps which means Katy doesn't need to run around to different spots for hours trying to catch a glimpse of her husband! hooray! PLUS, it is going to be B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L weather.

Let's see, what else?!? I don't have to work or really even think about Rita's until Monday--except for a teensy bit tomorrow morning, and the schedule that I need to fix as soon as I'm done with this post. AND I got my first paycheck...wowsers. I haven't gotten a paycheck like that in a very.long.time. 1.5 months shy of a year.

I'm just about all ready to give my presentation next week on photography. I'm really excited to share with people that they can do it too! and I created this super cute brochure [aka cheat sheet] for everyone to take home with them.

Now I must finish the schedule, clear off my memory card, charge batteries, and ahh pack! Maybe you'll get lucky and get some updates throughout the trip?!? who knows!

Wordless Wednesday

...I know I haven't been here much, and I apologize, but when you do the exact same thing day in a day out it's sometimes hard to turn the mundane into special.

yesterday...snow

today...beauty, warmth, and sun

Fill-in-the-Blank FRIDAY!

1.  The best piece of advice I was ever given was     Do your best, do what you can, and if it doesn't happen, it's just not meant to be right now. God is in control...not you.

2.  If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to     Compassion International--because recently I wish I could sponsor a kiddie.

3.  If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be      [this one is tough, as my desired appetite changes constantly], probably some kind of cheesy noodle/spaghetti dish, sweet or mint tea, a brownie or some chocolatey dessert with vanilla bean ice cream.

4.  My hair is     straight and blonde. Not many other words to describe it, except boring.

5.  If at first you don't succeed   I guess it's wrong to say "keep trying". I mean seriously, how many times do you succeed the first time? ME? not too often. The beauty of life.

6.  I have always been very      bad at making desicions.   .

7.  Oh....and by the way....      I feel like I'm getting the hang of Rita's. The hubs and I have even taken over scheduling [yikes!  I also feel like I've abandoned my blog, and I'm sorry.   .

Getting to Know You Sunday

Since all I've been doing lately is selling and scooping ice at Rita's, and nobody wants to hear those  boring details, I'll let you get to know me.

The questions..

1. What year did you graduate high school? 2003
2. What part of your body do you neglect the most?
3. Beach house or Lake house? Beach house for sure.
4. Mac or PC? Have a PC but badly want a Mac
5. Did you wear braces? Nope, but wanted them as kids.
6. If you could be one person for a day..living or deceased..who would you be? I'm very happy just being me.
7. How many times have you moved in your life? 8 or 9
8. Would you rather cook or clean? hmm, I love things to be clean and organized, but I'd probably have to say cook [err, really it's baking that I'm taking about here]
