About Me

Hi! I'm Katy. I am in love with all things bright and colorful. I love to laugh and spend time with family and friends. I'm a wife (to the absolute most wonderfully amazing man), teacher, children's ministry director, and puppy-momma to 2 labradoodles. I love being creative in any way I possibly can. It's the process: to be able to start with next to nothing and end up with this product that is completely usable (hopefully). I'm in love with photography, so you can find me with a camera most of the time. My life ultimately belongs to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The last 3 years have been a roller coaster for my hubby and I. I graduated, got married the next day, and 3 months later finally moved into our own place. Yay!


After 2 years of teaching in a district as a long term substitute, I was informed they decided to hire other people for the available positions...so we moved back in with my in-laws. That's where I am today. I'm waiting on the Lord and trying to be patient to see what happens next while hoping and praying that it doesn't get harder.

The Big Sis-Yasha-4 yrs.

I can.not.wait to start a family. We started trying in November of 2007. We know now that it's not going to be easy for us, but we realize that this is God's plan...not ours and as difficult as that is on some days, we are trusting that He knows our days ahead and they are good no matter what happens. I've been holding on to these verses:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.     Jeremiah 29:11

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
